In today's mini episode of Not Nice Clever, we are talking about the law of attraction in business. Now, before you might roll your eyes or be like, these girls are woo woo, I don't understand what's going on, make it make sense. We are going to make this tangible. We're going to make this actionable. We also recognize the power of working with the current of the energy and the universe and all of these other forces to help support you and move you in the right direction. So we're going to share three things that we do.
in our day to day, in our week to week, and month to month to help move the needle forward and not feel burnt out or overwhelmed. So, law of attraction, make it make sense, Candice. What's the first thing that our listeners should do? Definitely take time each day for visualization. And it's really important to have clear and specific goals.
Even if you feel like what you want is out of your reach or too big, I want you to kind of get rid of any type of parameters or limitations that you put on your life and the goals that you have for your business. So visualization really helps. One thing that I like to do is write down three things that I know I want to accomplish in that month. And then I write out how I feel as if it already happened.
Like I'm so excited that we had a record breaking amount of design clients this month and I saw our designs all over the internet. Like I will just say what I felt, what I saw, how it felt, how my team was excited. And I'll really, as I'm writing that, what the great thing is like your brain doesn't understand the difference between reality and what you just wrote. And so that's wonderful for you.
because you are setting yourself up to actually achieve that thing. And so I want you to write down what it is you're accomplishing and like how it feels from the perspective of it having already happened.
I love this tip because too often, how often have we felt where we have said in the past, another month gone. Okay, a new month ahead, we're gonna set these goals. And it's like, be very specific and very clear and revisit them often too. Like you can write these down at the beginning of the month or even the last week of the month, right? As your vision casting for the month ahead and revisit it on a weekly basis. And I think...
how it feels is super important too, because in the idea of the law of attraction, like, like attracts like. If you are feeling like you have no design clients, if you are feeling invisible online and nobody sees your beautiful brand designs, the universe is like, well, she's not a match for more success. So like, let's keep moving on. Yeah. Right. I remember this reminded me of something that I wrote down in the past. And I remember I like had a whole like journal that every day I was writing this down for a period of time. I don't even remember how long, but I was writing down like,
It feels amazing to make $20 ,000 a month. like this is why you were still living in Vegas. And now it's like funny to me, right? Cause now I'm like, want to make way more than that, you Yeah. Just like writing down like, my gosh, it feels so great to make $20 ,000 a month. Like I never have to worry about bills and I always have money to do X, Y, Z to travel, whatever. and now it's a whole new number, but every, but that's the great thing about it because I thought it was in.
I thought it was insane at that point. Remember, I used to be a teacher making like, I don't know, $3 ,600 a month or something. And so that seemed like a crazy lofty goal, but it just became the norm for me. And so when you start actually just seeing yourself actually accomplish that thing, it makes you inspired to like, what else can I visualize? What else can I imagine for myself?
Wouldn't it be fun if that is like one of the favorite games that I had started playing my coach introduced me to it. And it's like, wouldn't it be fun if somebody wrote about you? Wouldn't it be fun if somebody came to you with this? Wouldn't it be fun if like, why not? What do you have to lose? You have everything to gain. Like why not? So I'm in the car the other day and we were just talking about how people are so close, so much closer to the thing that they want than they ever believe. Because we are
you know, expanding our real estate portfolio and we're like doing these things that three years ago we wouldn't have been able to do. Right. And we're talking to a lot of different people and like so many people are supporting us and like helping us find the right next step. And we're working on our second commercial property. We learned a lot from the first one and everyone wants to support us. Everyone wants to help. And they're like, yeah, well, this person can help you with that. This person can help you with that.
And now we like literally have a team of people that only happened because we did the first thing that we didn't exactly know how to do. And you figured it out. We figured it out. like, and now we're just now the great thing is like our team that helped us. We're trying to buy another state. The team that helped us in California is also connecting us with amazing people in this other state to help us. And then they're, and then they're vouching for us. They're like, yeah, they're great to work with. This is why.
And so we're just like building this amazing team of people. And we were kind of laughing in the car, like, from like not knowing how to do any of this to just saying yes and asking for help and asking other people who've done it before. How'd you do this? How'd you figure that out? Like who'd you use for this? Now we're just like an entirely different starting point. Like, but we could have not done it because we didn't, we've never done it before. That's everything in life. You have to try it for the first time.
Well, you try it for the first time. also, like law of attraction is not you just figuring it out by yourself. Like the universe has your back, you're reaching out, you're looking, you see what you look for and you did it once. Okay, great. Like how can we do it better? And just literally vocalizing that you need help is such a game changer. And as far as law of attraction goes, think that it plays a huge role in this because people want to help us because we've been there for them in some way.
Yeah, you know like attracts like yeah, it's just reciprocity It's just like the universe and in some small way in a way that I don't even think maybe matters But to them like I listen to your podcast episode kandace and I and this this and this was really impactful for me you need help with that. I know someone you know, it's like it's crazy how that works, but energy matters and law of attraction actually is a thing so you got to visualize what you want and You have to be willing to take a scary
step. Yeah. And you won't be there alone. You won't be doing it alone. And this brings us to our next tip, which is all about gratitude and not just being performatively grateful, but truly like you were saying when you're writing down your goals, feeling and embodying that feeling of gratitude. And so
We talked about setting three goals each month. Now this is something every single day, writing down three things that you're grateful for before you look at your phone, which I know probably somebody just started like breaking out sweating, like sweaty pits, sweaty palms, like don't touch your phone. Right. was just listening to Mel Robbins episode about how she starts her mornings. I think we're going to do an episode on that in the future. are. Yes. Love Mel. And she was like, you cannot touch your phone because that's like, she said it's like inviting hundreds or thousands of people into your bedroom in the morning.
You wouldn't do that, right? my God. No. What would be very upset? He'd be like, that's a sacred space. Exactly. And so just don't touch your phone. And I think that it really helps you to set up the day for success because you're not responding to fires immediately. Cause I don't know what you wake up to, but I just wake up to like my team asking me for things. My client's asking me for things. Everyone wants something for me. Higher quality problems is what I wake up to now, which I am grateful. Thank you universe, means I don't want to wake up to it. want to like, yeah.
do my morning routine, I wanna feed my dog, go for a walk. Shug, yeah. Eat my breakfast and then when I come up to my desk, I will respond to all the fires. But anyhow, why am I saying this? because Mel Robbins also said this too. It's not just cat dog. It's a real thing. So avoid your phone in the mornings for kind of as long as possible. An hour? I try to go for an hour.
Some days I'll do two hours. depends, like Mondays for sure. I can make it two hours. Fridays for sure. can make it two hours. Tuesday through Thursday are like my more intense kind of get shit done communication style days. yeah, writing down three things you're grateful for, which by the way, coming from somebody like not coming from, I won't even qualify the statement with that. The fact that you got up out of bed with no pain or like you're able to like focus on a page and write something down and use your hands and your body's working.
Massively. I am so grateful for all the millions of processes that are going on in my body that I'm not even consciously aware of that allow me to be here to breathe, to think, to reason, to enjoy like massively. That's always the first thing. put things in perspective. It does because we're always so in this fast paced world and I feel like we get so easily caught up in that, but just slowing down and recognizing how lucky you are if your body's working with you and not against you.
Huge. And then later in the day, send three messages of gratitude. So whether that be via email, DM, text message, maybe you write a handwritten note. That's awesome too. But sending three messages of gratitude on a daily basis is just going to help you strengthen your relationships. Someone once told me like, if you think a nice thing, say the nice thing. And I have to remind myself that all the time. Like that just doesn't come naturally to me.
It's the Scorpio in you. And so like, I thought the nice thing, I just need to say it. And I realized how far that goes in my relationship. Sometimes I just assume, like, I just assume that you know that I love you and appreciate you every day, Kat. Like, I don't know, I just tell you that every day. But like, maybe I should be more intentional about saying it. Words of affirmation, know, especially if it's the love language of the person, right? Ooh, that's even another layer, right? If you want to send three thank yous, send it in the way of the love language of the other person, if you know that.
Okay, and the last one that we have for you because this is supposed to be a mini but here we go with all the stories. The last one is take inspired action, which means do things that you know are going to make you feel good, make you feel centered, happy, peaceful, whatever that is to you. And sometimes these things are hard because they feel like they're at odds with maybe your goals, right? Like if I take an hour to go to yoga,
And it's really going to be an hour and a half by the time I drive there and drive back and then you know, whatever I'm taking all this time from you're not prospecting during that time. You're not selling. Right. Right. Yeah. But it's actually an investment into yourself and your future business. And it will pay you back in feeling better and more space in your mind, more space in your heart, all the things that you want. And so whatever that might be for you, incorporate that into your
calendar unapologetically because you know that it's going to give you that ROI that you want, just maybe not in the immediate way that you're thinking. I love it. I have one more baby story and then we're going to wrap up the episode. Okay, so this was a perfect example. I was dealing with a technology issue for my merchant processor in my business the other day and I was so frustrated in the moment.
because I was talking with the merchant processor and then I was talking with my bank and then the merchant processor and then my bank. at a certain point I was like, you know what? I'm like, this is not productive anymore. I have spent way too much time. I'm like freaking out. like, let me just like stop, ignore the messages, ignore them. Cause they were calling me trying to follow up and do all of that. was like, let me just step away and not deal with it and go do something for myself. And so I stopped, I didn't solve the problem yet. I literally stepped away from the problem, went and did something for myself. And then hours later, I got an email saying,
This situation has been resolved. The funds are in your account. Now you can update your banking information and carry on. And I'm just like, thank you. Just focus on you. Everything else will be fine. That's basically the law of attraction and ask for help. And if you enjoy this episode, we would love it if you leave us a five -star review.
